There is a growing need to understand the impact of cyber-attacks, as well as understanding more effective defense mechanisms against the attacks. In this course, students will acquire professional and practical knowledge in the world of information security.

Students will have access to course notes, hand outs and textbook resources.

To attain a Certificate for this course students must have:

  • Attendance in at least 85% of the lessons
  • Passing the internal test

Students who attain a mark of 50% or above will be awarded a Certificate in Cyber Security for Managers.

Learning Objectives

On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Understanding basic computer networks
  • Define secured communications methods
