Preta graduated from Macquarie University with a double Masters. She started off as an intern for Matt Kean who is now a minister in Sydney and worked also for All Together Now where she had engaged in creating awareness on equality via a short film. Having had multiple positions in top universities such as NUS and NTU, her teaching and research experience has been wide. She has worked in international companies such as MaritzCX and Boston Consulting as well as government bodies.
