Exclusive Guest Lecture: Paul Stevenson on Finance Career in FMCG Industry

To enrich the field trip of the students from Petra Christian University, and the learning experience of the students, who are studying for the Preparatory Course for Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) at LSBF in Singapore, a special seminar with guest speaker, Paul Stevenson, Vice President of Finance & Controller of Unilever Asia Pte Ltd was arranged by LSBF in Singapore.

Based on his personal experience, Paul shared with these Finance undergraduates and ACCA students, the finance career in the FMCG industry and what it takes to excel in this field.

With a career spanning almost two decades in the industry, Paul was invited to speak about his professional and academic journey to the top – drawing upon his own personal experiences in the FMCG market. Paul also stressed the importance and investment of obtaining professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA and the long-term skills and knowledge these courses distil in an individual.

The audience, comprising of ACCA students and staff at LSBF in Singapore, and the academics and students from Petra Christian University, benefited from the wealth of Stevenson’s experience and insider knowledge, with commentary on the opportunities presented in the FMCG industry and the attributes it takes to escalate up through the hierarchy of a finance career.
