LSBF in Singapore enters Malaysia’s education market

LSBF in Singapore recently signed a collaborative agreement with Innovative International College (IIC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as part of the college’s expansion in the region.

IIC is a private college which provides courses that have been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia. It has received accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

This partnership paves the way for LSBF in Singapore to recruit students from Africa, the Middle East, and countries of the Indian subcontinent such as Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal into the LSBF Global campus at IIC.

The agreement was signed by Mr Rathakrishnan Govind, Managing Director of LSBF in Singapore, and Ms Shahawati Binti Umar, CEO and Principal of IIC, in the presence of senior management teams from both sides.

Speaking at the event, Mr Rathakrishnan said: “The collaboration is a significant milestone for LSBF as it cements our presence in Malaysia. This collaboration expands our Asian operations beyond Singapore, and I’m excited at the potential of recruiting international students through our GUS global connectivity.”

“Through this collaboration, LSBF in Singapore will be able to offer popular programmes for international students interested in studying in Malaysia”.

He added that diplomas such as hospitality and business will be the first to be offered, with planned intakes as early as September 2015. More programmes will be introduced as the partnership evolves.
