About the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) Exam 

The ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) is a globally recognised, entry-level certification designed by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2)—a leading non-profit organisation in the field of cybersecurity. When you sign up for our Cybersecurity Bootcamp, we’ll help you sign up for the exam, completely free of charge!

This exam validates your understanding of key cybersecurity principles, including:

  • Information security concepts 
  • Risk management 
  • Network security 
  • Access controls 
  • Security operations  

It is officially recognised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and endorsed by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) as part of the Skills Pathway for Cybersecurity—an initiative developed in collaboration with 13 founding employers, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), the Association of Information Security Professionals (AiSP), and other industry stakeholders.

Zhou Zhihao is an experienced cybersecurity professional with over 10 years of expertise across cybersecurity consulting, system design, operations, ethical hacking, and software development. He is currently an adjunct lecturer at the London School of Business and Finance and serves as Vice President of the Singapore Chapter of ISC2 – the world’s leading international cybersecurity certification body. 

Zhihao holds a Master’s degree in Knowledge Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), along with numerous industry-recognised qualifications in cybersecurity and risk management. His credentials include certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), among others. 

A strong believer in continuous learning and giving back, Zhihao volunteers as a career advisor with Workforce Singapore and mentors aspiring professionals through his work with ISC2 Singapore Chapter. He also contributes to the global cybersecurity community as a member of the ISC2 Global Chapter Advisory Board.

Steven Cheong brings over 15 years of extensive experience across private
enterprises, multinational conglomerates, and the public sector, including a tenure
with the Central Bank of Singapore. His expertise spans IT security, vulnerability
assessments, infrastructure reviews, IT general controls (ITGC) reviews, and
business process evaluations across diverse industries.
He has successfully led numerous IT audit and cybersecurity assignments, covering
areas such as IT business risk assessment, IT governance, application and general
controls, business continuity and recovery planning, IT outsourcing risk reviews,
data analytics, and penetration testing for clients in the securities, financial services,
telecommunications, technology, and government sectors across the Asia-Pacific
region.
Beyond his technical expertise, Steven has been instrumental in helping clients enhance the quality, governance,
security, and controls of their IT systems and processes. His leadership includes overseeing projects in
IT-business alignment, governance and risk framework development, system and performance testing,
infrastructure architecture, data management, computer forensics, identity management, and enterprise security
infrastructure design.

Assel Mussagaliyeva-Tang is a seasoned digital transformation and AI consultant
with two decades of industry experience dedicated to reducing the digital
divide across Asia. As the founder of EDUTech Future, Assel has empowered
2,000 individuals, from students to senior professionals, through innovative
skills programs and cutting-edge AI training initiatives. Her leadership in digital
transformation is further recognized by her roles as affiliate faculty at SMU
Academy and RISE by BCG U, and as Asia-Pacific Program Manager for
Future Ready Skills at Microsoft, where she champions inclusive, engaging
future-ready learning.
Assel is known for her passion in guiding learners through the rapidly changing world of technology. Her
teaching excellence is reflected in consistently top participant scores and strong employability outcomes,
reinforcing her impact as a thought leader in digital upskilling. As a 2025 EDSAFE Women in AI Fellow and
