Michael Ando is from the UK and came to Singapore over 15 years ago.
He worked for over 30 years in the information technology industry for companies in the UK, Japan, Germany, and Singapore. He has held various leadership positions in sales and business development and traveled extensively across Europe and the Pacific Asia region over that period.
After 3 decades working in the business world, Michael found his new vocation and embarked on a teaching career in 2016. Now an experienced lecturer teaching the English language at all levels and to all age groups. Michael brings his enthusiasm for teaching to the classroom and believes that to foster better learning, it is important to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to be bold, ask questions, and be more confident in their language learning abilities. Lessons and in-class activities should be collaborative and engaging so students can realize their full potential.
Outside the classroom, Michael likes exploring different cultures and cuisines and vows to one day do a road trip across Southeast Asia. He also enjoys listening to music, hiking, scuba diving, and spending time with his children.
