Learning Objectives

This Executive Education programme has been designed to enable participants to develop and apply techniques of criminal intelligence analysis in a law enforcement and security service context. This include enabling participants to interpret and predict situations through the use of critical thinking and analytical techniques.

  • Understand how to develop inference and hypothesis from analysis
  • Be able to identify key intelligence gaps within complex data sets and make recommendations appropriate to agreed strategies
  • Understand how to manage the analysis of data from different specialist sources
  • Be able to write a clear and concise analysis report including recommendations for decision making and give face to face intelligence briefings
  • Be able to produce evidence derived from criminal intelligence analysis for use in court (including, production of exhibits and labels, sources of evidence, presentation of evidence in court)
