LSBF in Singapore paves the way for global learning in 2018
- 21st February 2018
2017 was an eventful year of regional collaborations for LSBF in Singapore. The school reached a major milestone when it formed a partnership with Xiamen University – ranked among the top accounting universities in China.
The partnership culminated in the opening of the Belt & Road (B&R) Multi-Cultural Studies Centre at LSBF in Singapore’s Springleaf Tower campus last July. Later that year, LSBF in Singapore also launched Xiamen University’s Bachelor of Management in Accounting, and Bachelor of Economics in International Economics and Trade programmes.
Last September, LSBF secured a partnership with Bridge Business College to establish LSBF-Bridge Sydney. Other exciting collaborations include Swiss Lanka Hotel School in Sri Lanka, Star Resources Hospitality and Tourism Management Academy in Myanmar, and International Hotel and Tourism Industry Management School in Thailand.
Your Gateway to the World
This year, LSBF is set to enhance the way students learn by extending the borders of the classroom.
With the new LSBF Global Learning Experience, students will have the opportunity to complete their diploma studies across various LSBF destinations. This transnational education model enables students to receive dual qualifications and gain valuable international exposure.
In line with the global experience, LSBF will also offer ACCA programmes in Australia through LSBF-Bridge Sydney.
LSBF-Bridge Sydney is an ACCA Silver Approved Learning Partner (ALP) and the first ALP to be introduced in Australia.
Following this, LSBF in Singapore will continue to expand its global reach to connect students to the world.
Last November, LSBF in Singapore received the Lotus Award and the Best 3R Award at the SEC-StarHub School Green Awards (SGA) 2017.
The Lotus Award is given to schools with an overall score of 95% and above, and showcased at least one innovative environmental project and made efforts to promote Singapore's sustainability. The 3R Award is based on a school’s efforts in carrying out the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
The school has attained the Lotus Award for the second consecutive year, and it has received a higher award every year since 2014.
With the recent launch of the Diploma in Sustainable Operations, LSBF in Singapore is set to engage in and implement more green initiatives this year and work towards ‘sustainability’, which will be in consonance with the school’s four-year vision.
