Refund Policy

London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) undertakes to ensure that through the implementation of its application policies, all students are recruited into appropriate courses, according to their needs and aspirations and those students are mindful of their chances of success.

The Refund Policy is clearly communicated to all students via the website, Student Contract, Student Handbook, Orientation Slides and Notice Boards.

Amount Non – Refundable
The amount non-refundable is as per the Student Contract in Schedule 2.2 whereby it states that LSBF will not refund the following:-

* Course transfer is only allowed within the same intake. No course deferment from one intake to another shall be allowed.
* Course transfer is only applicable to transfers within London School of Business & Finance. Transfer to another School will be deemed as withdrawal.

It is acknowledged, however, that despite LSBF’s best efforts during counselling and induction, some students will find that the course they have enrolled for is not suitable for them. In such cases, the Transfer and Withdrawal Policy shall apply.

Where possible, and through further counselling, the student will be offered the opportunity to transfer to another more suitable course.

Should a transfer not be feasible or desirable, the student may withdraw from the course. In such a case, the terms of our Refund Policy shall apply. If the student is on a Student’s Pass, LSBF will be obliged to report to the ICA of the student’s withdrawal from the course.

Withdrawal applies when the student wishes to discontinue with the course. It does not apply to Suspension or Expulsion for Disciplinary reasons, where other policies will be put in place applicable to such cases.

LSBF will refund students based on the scenarios listed below with stipulated refundable amounts and the timeframe:

Refund for withdrawal with a causeexpand

LSBF will consider the scenarios listed below as grounds for a request for withdrawal to be submitted:

  • LSBF fails, for any reason, to commence the course on the course commencement date;
  • LSBF terminates the course, for any reason, prior to the course commencement date;
  • LSBF fails, for any reason, to complete the course by the course commencement date.

  • Tuition fees
  • Medical Insurance Fee

Timeframe for Refund

Refund will be made no more than seven (7) working days from the date of the refund request, as stipulated by the student on FRM-022 Request for Course Withdrawal Form (to be used when a student withdraws from LSBF as a student), FRM-022A Request for Withdrawal of Paper(s) Form (to be used when a student withdraws from just one or more, but not all papers, applicable to only School of Professional) or  FRM-029 Request for Refund (Special Cases) Form (to be used when a student requests for a refund not related to withdrawal).

Refund for withdrawal without a causeexpand

LSBF reviews all written notices of withdrawal (which are to be supported by relevant documents) on a case by case basis. The LSBF will consider the scenarios listed below as grounds for the request to withdraw:

  • Overseas assignments of more than one (1) month, evidenced by an official letter from the student’s employer
  • Medical reasons, such as hospitalisation, supported with certification from a Singapore registered Doctor
  • Pregnancy, supported with certification from a Singapore registered Doctor
  • Reservist service of more than one (1) month, evidenced by the relevant official supporting document
  • Exemption granted by the relevant institution (e.g. ACCA etc.)

The approval of the respective Head of Department and the Managing Director must be obtained before the students can be refunded by completing the FRM-022 Request for Course Withdrawal Form (to be used when a student withdraws from LSBF as a student), FRM-022A Request for Withdrawal of Paper(s) Form (to be used when a student withdraws from just one or more, but not all papers, applicable to only School of Professional) or FRM-029 Request for Refund (Special Cases) Form (to be used when a student requests for a refund not related to withdrawal).

LSBF offers students a cooling-off period of 7 working days after signing their student contract.

There is a cooling-off period of at least 7 working days for maximum refund in clause 2.5 in the student contract. Student can receive maximum refund stated in clause 2.4 in the student contract if student withdraw within 7 working days after signing the contract.

Do note out of goodwill, LSBF would provide student with maximum refund of 100% should the student withdraw within 7 working days after signing the student contract.

In order to terminate the agreement, the student will need to fill up Schedule 3.2. Student’s Rights to Cancel Agreement of the student contract.

After the cooling-off period, the Refund Policy would apply as follows:
