Community Involvement

At London School of Business & Finance (LSBF), we do more than just have a positive impact on our students’ careers – we also strive to have the same impact on the world around us. Our team is united in its belief that we must encourage social responsibility in everything we do. This means we consistently find ways to help our employees and students to support others.

At LSBF in Singapore, we have contributed to the community by engaging in projects as follows:

Fund raising for The Singapore Cancer Society

LSBF in Singapore launched our community involvement project with Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) in October 2011. As part of our project, we have installed candy vending machines at our premises and will donate all profits from the sales to SCS. These candy vending machines are located at the student lounges of 1 Finlayson Green, #07-00 and GB Building, 143 Cecil Street, #23-00 and #24-00.

Why Singapore Cancer Society?expand

LSBF has selected Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation dedicated to minimising the impact of cancer to be its charity beneficiary.

The programmes and services provided by SCS, includes providing cancer treatment subsidies and financial aid to needy cancer patients, cancer screening services, home palliative care services and public education programmes.

As cancer kills one person in four, their cause is both admirable and challenging as it solely depends on the public contributions and support to help improve the lives of cancer patients and youth and children from cancer-affected families.

LSBF is proud to be one of its many supporters of SCS.

Collection drive with The Salvation Army

As per of the festive celebrations and to make it a special Christmas for all at LSBF in Singapore and our students, LSBF had organised a collection for The Salvation Army from 28 November to 9 December 2011. Students and staff were encouraged to donate in-kind or any used items in favourable conditions. Items like accessories, apparels, bags, books, dvds, electronic products, stationaries and toys were collected by the Salvation Army.
